Tower Fall and Calcite Springs Winter Snowshoe

4 Hours

ONLY AVAILABLE AS A SNOWSHOE TOUR FROM NOVEMBER THROUGH EARLY APRIL!

This is considered one of the true classic snowshoe treks in Yellowstone, and for good reason. At a five-mile round trip, this adventure follows the snow-covered road from Roosevelt Junction up to Tower Fall, passing areas where bison linger and coyotes wander. Full of stunning views, awesome geology, and even a whiff of sulfur in the air, this is an adventure I take multiple times a year. Whether the highlight for you is the mostly frozen sight of Tower Fall, the stunning cliffs and panoramic views along the route, or the serenity and beauty at the Calcite Springs Overlook, you’ll be happy you came here in the winter.

There will be around 500 feet of elevation gain and loss on this adventure, but since it is following a road covered in snow, the grade is easily manageable for nearly all levels of snowshoers.

This tour is a private tour for your group and your group alone.
