I am terrible at buying gifts for my friends and family. Year in and year out, while others see joy on the faces of the person opening their gift, I tend to see confusion and disappointment. Luckily, I think I may have figured out a solution for everyone this year. This year, I am doing things differently. Instead of buying something from a large store, I’ll be sharing thoughtful gifts made from extremely rad people. The gifts won’t just be enjoyed for a day, instead giving at least a year’s worth of memories.  The gifts I plan to give out will gifts that inspire adventure through beauty and creativity. With the following four products, I can be rest assured that I have amazing gifts for my nature-loving friends covered. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself!

The Mountains of the Olympic Peninsula 2016 Calendar

I have been making calendars for five years and the 2016 Olympic Mountains Calendar by The Outdoor Society is hands down the best. The images are breathtaking, giving 13 stunning views of the Olympic Mountains during all the seasons. As panoramas expand on the image section of the calendar, the bottom half has been stylized and designed by Mathias Eichler. The design has people ranting and raving, with many supporters of The Outdoor Society buying another one once the first arrives. I say the following with no reservations: This is the best calendar on the Olympic Peninsula or in Olympic National Park and you need one. If you love the wilderness of the Olympics, do yourself a favor and pick up a few copies. Your walls and your eyes will thank you. Take a look and buy your copy now, before they sell out.

Boring Stats: Full color, saddle-sticked, with convenient date fields to add all your friend’s birthdays, important event, and of course, planned hiking trips.

TRIXWITHAY: 2016 Mountain Calendar

TRIXWITHAY is yet another artist you need to keep your eye on. Creating awesome goods year round, her love of the wilderness shines through in her products. The one I really love is her 2016 Illustrated Calendar. Inspired by the ever changing beauty of the mountains, each month features a different aspect of mountain life. Hiking with her family and stepping out, in any weather, inspired Trixy to draw the mountains in every season. From snow-covered peaks, to lush flower meadows, each month will feature a different aspect of mountain life Trixy describes as “motivational with a touch of whimsy.”

Buy your copy here and fall in love with a different side of Wilderness.

Boring Stats: The calendar measures 8in. x 10in., is printed on heavy card stock, and will feature a stylish bulldog clip for hanging, holding the pages, and for later use individually, if desired.

Full Disclosure: I know everyone involved in making these gifts. They, like the gifts are awesome. Thank you in advance for your support!
